MAP has developed a huge reputation worldwide over many years but is not known nearly as well as it should be. This is most unfortunate as it has none of the undesirable health effects of high protein supplementation. Athletes and others benefit greatly from using MAP (see research).

Why I use MAP
All the science points to the benefits of having essential amino acids readily available to the muscles prior to vigorous exercise for maximum strength gain and immediately afterwards for repair.
With normal food and protein supplements it is hard to get the timing right on this because of issues like digestion time, digestion problems and work schedules etc. Also normal protein is very acid producing in the body and this is not good prior to competitions and is bad for general health.
With MAP you have none of these problems.
Prior to vigorous exercise research indicates you take 7 to 10 tablets and 3 to 5 immediately after.
You have no digestion problems and you know you have protein building blocks available to the body in 20 minutes. MAP is particularly handy if you are training after work or for competitions when you are travelling and are likely out of your normal schedule.
Map is not meant as a substitute for normal protein consumption. Normal diet is adequate for normal day to day needs and for normal exercise. To save costs you can if you choose confine your use of MAP for your vigorous exercise sessions and for competitions. In this way MAP works out to be a very cost effective protein supplement.

Research Has Shown
The results of comparative, double-blind, triple- and quintuple-crossover Net Nitrogen Utilization (NNU) clinical studies have shown that the subjects, while taking MAP™, as a dietary protein substitute, achieved a body’s 99% NNU. This means that 99% of MAP’s constituent amino acids followed the anabolic pathway, thus acting as precursor of body’s protein synthesis. By comparison, the most nutritious dietary proteins provide an average of only 32% NNU. Hence, MAP™ is more nutritious than dietary proteins.
This has been confirmed by the fact that during the studies, each subject body’s nitrogen balance was maintained in equilibrium by taking MAP™ as a sole and total substitute of dietary proteins in a dosage of only 400 mg/kg/day (ideal weight) which provided less than 2 kcal/day ( 1 g MAP™ = 0.04 kcal). The studies results have also shown that 1% of MAP’s constituent amino acids followed the catabolic pathway, thus releasing only 1% of nitrogen catabolites and energy. By comparison dietary proteins release an average of 68% nitrogen catabolites and energy. These facts evidence that MAP™ is safer than dietary proteins and provides the lowest amount of energy in comparison to any dietary protein.
